When you’re redeveloping a website, sometimes bringing in a copywriter just isn’t enough. You need a unicorn that can help you shape your brief, collect relevant information, write content and liaise with stakeholders to get the signoffs you need. But you don’t want to go through the laborious process of hiring. That’s where Avion Communications comes in.
We partnered with Suncorp to create (and drive) content production over a 6-month period. This involved assigning one of our copywriters – with an exceptional blend of digital, copywriting and project management skills – to work with Suncorp roughly 2-3 days per week.

Upon kick-off, Avion immediately embedded itself within the Suncorp team. The goal was to rewrite and update approximately 50 pages of web content to fit new design templates – but the process involved much careful negotiation between various departments including eCommerce, UX, SEO, Product Development, Portfolio, Marketing and Legal.
Using tools – such as Confluence, Axure and Jira – in tandem with our excellent communication skills, Avion delivered a vast amount of SEO- and UX-focused web content spanning car, home, boat, caravan, motorhome, motorcycle and travel insurance – as well as FAQs.
Acting as a flexible plug-in resource provided great value. We scaled our services up or down depending on the status of the project, week to week. Suncorp could rely on us to collaborate in an agile work environment – without the overheads and hassles of hiring in-house.
