April 10, 2015 Collaboration, bravery and women in the market place

April 2015 newsletter

Last month I attended a spectacular presentation by Janine Garner – author, mentor, trainer and public speaker extraordinaire. I’d like to share with you my 3 key takeaways applicable to professional and personal success below.

Janine Garner

1. Collaborate… Because collective intelligence takes your smarts further.

If you’re building a business, ask yourself: “Who else can I work with?” Know what you’re good at, then reach out to a diverse network and share it. No one can alter the world on their own, but partnering with others enables you to become a brick in the wall of change.

2. Be brave… And do things today that others will put off to tomorrow.

Janine is a firm believer in self-empowerment. Do whatever you need to do to achieve clarity, conviction, courage and confidence. She says, “A public education will make you a living. A private education will make you a fortune.”

3. Be aware… That 75% of purchase decisions are made by women.

Don’t just market your brand to men in suits. Ensure your content meets the needs and expectations of women. And not just because women typically control household finances. Rather, acknowledge:

“In the years ahead, women’s economic participation and entrepreneurial growth will drive the world’s economy.” – Muhtar Kent, chairman of the board & CEO, Coca-Cola

If you’d like to discuss tweaking your copy to be more engaging for female audiences, give us a call. Whether it’s sharing feedback over the phone or embarking on a large-scale project, we are happy to help.

‘Till next month…

Best wishes, Natalie and the Avion team.
