It can be hard to find the time to reflect when you’re busy. That’s why the 10-year anniversary of Avion Communications took us all by surprise – well, all except for our Founder and Director, Natalie Khoo, who would probably say different!
From starting the business in 2009, taking on her first employee in 2013(ish), to the 12 strong team we have now – it’s been quite the learning experience. Want to know how it all started? Natalie took the time to reflect on her journey over the last decade in her blog article, 10 things I’ve learned in 10 years of business.
It’s always nice to take a moment and give ourselves a pat on the back for a job well done (so far), but the success of our business is only matched by the success of the people and projects we’ve worked on and with. That’s why we wanted to send out a virtual thank you to you, too (and give you permission to pat yourself on the back as well).
As we celebrate 10 years of Avion, it’s also time to say goodbye to one of our team members this month – Steph Underhill. Steph has been an integral part of the Avion family for the last few years and we are extremely grateful for her contribution to the business. We are very sad to see her go but excited to watch her next move.
What we’ll miss the most about Steph:
- Her razor-sharp writing
- Her humility and kindness
- Her pink hair and expert shoulder dancing
- Her wonderful canine companion, Harvey and his office visits
- Her photogenic nature in all our staff photos
There are also some new faces in the team (myself included!) who we will be introducing over the coming months. As we put a full stop on one chapter, we’re about to start an exciting new one. Stay tuned for some big news being announced very soon!
All the best,
Claire & the Avion team
