Rhys Martin, Avion copywriter

G’day, I’m Rhys. If we haven’t met, I’ve been a copywriter here at Avion for almost two years – how time flies! I have developed experience working on all sorts of projects across different sectors, from finance to construction.

Highlights and key projects

Having spent a significant amount of my Avion journey with Suncorp, I’ve worked across many projects with their amazing team. Two particular highlights have been working on the Discovery Tool Project – a new and innovative financial services store experience – and writing fun, fresh, engaging content as part of an AAMI Content Optimisation.

Best things I’ve learnt while at Avion

Learning the tips and tricks of SEO copywriting and how these can be used to amplify digital content has been a highlight. And having never heard of UX before I began at Avion, I also find this area fascinating. It’s been great to have a better understanding of the user experience when writing for the web, learning to consider how and where people consume content and why this matters.

Fun facts about me

  • I know a lot about Australian birds.
  • I’m currently writing a screenplay about a certain mythical Australian creature.
  • I used to be an actor; I was in several television commercials and a show on the ABC. As a result, I have a unique perspective and interest in how video content can be used as a highly engaging form of communication.

Enjoy the rest of your day. Cheers!
